MY STORY

Do you ever feel like you CONSTANTLY have to go the bathroom? Like you drink so much water on a
day-to-day basis that it literally cannot go anywhere, but out? And you have anxiety about leaving the
house in fear that you will be held hostage inside your car unable to go until you reach your destination.
Oh, and then your holiday road trips from Los Angeles to Arizona – where you do not want to
consume any liquid for the first four hours because somewhere hidden in your subconscious is an
incessant voice telling you, “you have to use the restroom” repeating over and over until the moment
you decide to pull over.

Annoying! Well, this is me on a daily basis. I consume a lot of water a day – A LOT! I drink water for many
reasons, such as: staying healthy, keep my skin looking good, control calorie intake, energize muscles,
and whatever else our experts tell us. Therefore, I visit restrooms everywhere I go.
I’ve been ‘self-diagnosed’ with restroom anxiety! I’ve seen, smelled, and rolled my eyes at many
restrooms. Right before I enter a restroom there is an anxiety that over comes me where I manically
conjure positive thoughts into the universe hoping to enter a washroom that won’t make me cringe. I
would love for a spellbinding experience, but would settle for safe.

While eating at Nobu Hollywood one evening, I felt my anxiety set in as I put my hand to the door to
push it open. As I entered, I immediately noticed a setting that took all my anxiety away and brought
comfort to my heart. The ladies room was spotless, all stall doors open with a clean toilet lid, no toilet
paper or urine on the floor, no paper towels on the ground near waste baskets, no wet counters or
ugliness of any kind. Just a warm room with soothing music playing.
At this moment, I truly understood all restrooms should be respected in this manner. So, The Shit
Queen was created.
